Ghostboy with Golden Virtues are the Dr Jekyll & Mistress Hyde of Australian performance art. Never for the faint hearted, these underground spirits swing audiences from debauched Berlin rock’n’roll landscapes to surrealist spoken word soundtracks before taking them downtown with bent takes on Serge Gainsbourg. Renowned for their exploding live shows, Ghostboy with Golden Virtues have (dis)graced the likes of Woodford Folk Festival and The Sydney Opera House while occasionally disturbing Triple J’s airwaves. Supporting them on this double bill will be acclaimed poetry-pop sister cabaret act Maiden Speech.
